About the Fruit :
Samuel Evan Stokes was the person who introduced apple crop in the hills around Shimla. The science of apple growing is called pomology and apples are a member of the rose family. Two thirds of the fibre and many anti – oxidants are found in the apple’s peel. Hence, whenever possible do not peel the apples before eating. Apples are low in calories, high in water content, rich in vitamins A, C and B and contains a dietary fiber called Pectin which helps in preventing heart attacks and most importantly they contain Boron which has the ability to build strong bones especially in children.
Our farmer grow’s all of his organic apples only on the south side of the hill to make sure they get an extra amount of sun every day. Use them for you next dinner or to create delicious wine!
